Yay Life ^^
Nov. 20th, 2008 | 01:11 am
Well... its been months since I've been on LJ ^^;
Life is good, happy, calm ^^ Got some major cleaning done in the last few days. Work is stressful but what job isn't ^^; I am thankful its not to stressful, the people are great and I feel happy to be there after a year of getting use to them ^^;. Some co-workers have been there 18+ years so that has to say something ^^ people make the work place. Work schedule is soooo messed up xP, my quote is "My schedule is as different as the snowflakes that fall." or the Forest Gump line but... "Schedules like a box of chocolates. Ya never know what your gonna get" Oh well ~sigh~ it works out somehow ^^.
Still never going to get my to do list done ^^; I have things backed up as far back as 4 years ago ^^; I still remember them but hard to get into my crafty self. Paintings, Stuffies and Costumes Oh My~! Amazing how one "Well... its alright but it doesn't look..." will put me off track so bad ~sigh~ Yay fear of failure xP
Hope everyone else is doing well. Sorry I've been MIA ^^; but I keep myself busy and rarely in the fun way >; ;< ... "Mommy... I want to move back home ~sniff~ (so I can be a spoiled brat again xP)" Nah~ ^.~ I am happy where I am.

Marriage Uncensored (TV show)
Jan. 28th, 2008 | 01:46 pm
My Mom recently told me to watch some of these shows on this site. I think it would be good for other women (and men as well) to watch. It gave me some tips and good information even though I'm not married.
Here is the site and one of my favoites listed below. Hope it helps some relationships if they feel like they are in trouble.

*Sigh* Sick to my stomic
Dec. 25th, 2007 | 08:30 am
Well, I stayed up last night till 3:00am having an early Christmas since I work today 10-6 and think it would just feel odd to have Christmas late. My Dad will be picking me up from work, going back to my place to pick up stuff and the critters and then going down to my parents place. But I ended up getting up at 7:00am because I thought I heard my cat calling to get in the bedroom, went and let her in and for half an hour she buged me to feed her. Finally I did and tried to get back to sleep and forced myself out of bed at 7:50am because I couldn't sleep. So now I'm typeing and its muggy in the appartment. It soooo doesn't feel like Christmas and I almost feel like crying. I am NEVER offering to work Christmas again. I get CRAP. I was told that if you work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Years Eve (just one of those days) you would NOT have to work the others. I ask for my schedule for New Years and I'm WORKING 4-10 WTF!!!! I asked about it and I guess the LEAD photo tech ASKED for it off because of HER family plans.... well WTF!!! AGAIN She worked Christmas Eve day ONLY. I worked Christmas Eve night 4-12 and Christmas Day so she could have it off with her daughter. The other girl doesn't work ither Christmas eve or day and is getting the day shift on New Years EVE. No I do not have any kids but I do have plans to go to my Grandmothers for Lobster supper (that which we do every year on New Years). I get New Years day off but that does NOTHING when everyone else is probably going to have supper around 7:00pm and my parents will have to drive and hour to pick me up to take me down their way. The cash supervisor (the one who made the schedule) gave me the "Well everyone has to do their shair." speach...... "I'M WORKING BLOODY CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY! I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD HAVE TO ASK FOR NEW YEARS OFF!" is what I wanted to say. I'm sorry, but when your told if you work one of the holidays you'll not have to work the other 2.... working 2 of the holidays should at least give me the one left off, NOT WORK ALL 3!! Again I'm sorry I'm on a rant but this is the last straw for going out on a limb and being generous so others will get what they want. I get CRAP! MERRY ****ING CHRISTMAS RETAIL!!!!! (THAT IS OPEN ON HOLIDAYS, THANK YOU HEAD OFFICE FOR KEEPING US OPEN).......... Ok, now its time to eat and off to ..... work I go. I will probably edit this later if the day gets better. I am seriously going to look for another job (I would appreciate it if no-one offered me where they work. I have my mind set on where I want to go and where I don't want to go. No one can change my mind on that. Thank you)

For anyone who doesnt know, hatsune miku is a digital idol. Her voice is completely made by synthesizer. No, its not a girl singing and having her voice robotized. Its not from any person, it is completely machine. Hatsune miku is a program that costs around $150
The program was designed by some otaku who couldnt get girlfriends and so they invented hatsune miku. creepy
Here's a 3-D version of her that is really neetly done. Be sure to check out more on YouTube ;)

Letter to Disney
Aug. 20th, 2007 | 02:19 pm
This is a letter in progress that I plan to eventually send to Disney. Sorry to say they have lost their touch and may ne a honest oppnion ;) to get them back on the right track.
Dear Staff at Disney,
Over the years you can line up the begining years Disney movies to the movies made in the last 10 years or so and notice a loss in true feelings. The movies are also being released at a very fast rate as well as the speed of the story. They are getting choppy and to fast pased, not enough story time. It use to be nice to have to wait a while for the next antisapated Disney movie to come out. Sorry to point it out but Disney movies now are made for more laughs and less heart. Again sorry but it is true. Start off with a fresh mind set; set down and watch all the begining movies and get the lost motives back; start looking for fresh ideas and look to Studio Ghibli. Translating them has been great on your part. Studio Ghibli's movies have something Disney now is missing. Look to them to keep the ideas flowing. Just because the old ways may seem just that "Old", does not mean they should be lost to the past. Think of it this way, what movies do YOU want to remember or you want to BE remembered? You remember stories like Bambi, Snow White, Cinderalla, Lady and the Tramp, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc.. but can you really see people remembering Cars, Chicken Little, The Incredibles, etc.. Yes the have their laughs but they may be one too many. They don't really tell a story once you sit down and think about it. They don't take enough time to sit you down and get you interested. Nor do you really get attached the the Characters. Disney has lost its heart and I think Walt Disney would not be fully proud. Again look to Studio Ghibli and the way the tell their stories, the content and connection to real life in some way. The future should not be filled with only laughs, great stories should start to come out again before it is to late to bring life back into movies. Now another pointer, Disney is past due for an new Princess adventure. Enough of the number 2's coming out, your trying to grasp something that was lost and are doing a pretty poor job. With the number 2's and re-releases you are showing something is lost and are trying to fix it but you don't know how. You need to get a hole new perspective on story writing. Look around for people with fresh ideas and get a new group dedicated to thinking of new ideas but to be surrounded by begining images to keep the mood flowing.

R.I.P. Nibbles
Jul. 29th, 2007 | 08:29 pm
mood:
sad

A bit of sad news. I had to go to work while my Mom continued to the vet and met my Dad there (they are both very attached to Nibbles, he would run circles and figure eights around their feet and stay still for them to pick him up when he was well). I heard the vet was very gentile and kind. She found out that his stomic was hard and it should have felt soft like a bollon. He had something wrong and the small poops weren't a good sign either. She said he would continue to go down hill from that point and there was nothing they could really do. I gess Mom cried. They then decided to put him down. Mom also said he was grinding his teath a lot of the time (heard they do that when they are in pain). Mom got to hold Nibbles before the vets then held him to give him the injection. Then Mom said she and Dad kept patting him as he past on. I am glad I went to spend the night with them the night before and was there to hold Nibbles in the car on the half hour drive to town before I went to work. When I was holding him he was doing a lot better than he was sliding around in his cage. I worried every time his nose got planted into some wood chips. But I fixed him on my lap only minitues after we left the house and he stayed there for the rest of the trip. Before I got out for work I put him back in the cage with a towel over the wood chips, put him down and then he seemed to straghten up. I then tucked a cool blanket around him to keep him padded for the rest of the trip. Mom said he stayed in that spot till the vet took him out. I feel in some way (if he did have a seizure) he sayed around so I could see him again. I'm sad but happy he is no longer suffering. We are getting him cremated. I felt he was worth more than just to join the back yard pet grave yard (mostly gold fish) The vet told us we were lucky to have him so many years. He was a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit and she said he was a senior at 4. He was 6 when he passed on and in bunny years she said he would have been 90. I am happy he must have had a long happy life. Thank you for reading and again I hope no one minds the details. I thought if I was to tell people in person this was along the lines of what I would say.
EDIT: Just adding this for memory sake. I recall when I was at work I knew the vet appointment was at 5:30 and around 6:00 I started getting a weird feeling in my stomic that wouldn't stop. In a way the hole time I was trying to send energy (in my own way) to help him, I was constantly thinking of trying to get him better but I couldn't get a clear picture in my head, it kept fading as I brought it to vision. Then at about 6:15, I was anxious, I called my Mom to see how Nibbles was and she told me then that they had to put him down. Now in a way I think I may have had some conection with him as he was put to sleep or he wanted me to know some how. I don't know how much of this or if any of this makes any sense but I like to think of it this way.

Need Prayers
Jul. 25th, 2007 | 12:44 pm
My Bunny Nibbles has been hurt. We believe he had a seizure because he got to hot one day [(At 106°F a rabbit can have a seizure or worse.) so I have read from http://www.hopperhome.com/hops.htm ]. He has seemed to have twisted his spine. His front legs are sprawled out to his right (should be in front) and his back legs to the left (should be tucked under him). He can only push himself counter clockwise around in circles with his legs the way they are. We can barely touch him because he tries to move away from us. I'm thinking he must be hurting. He'd usually stay still for us to pick him up. Any Prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Here are 2 pics of him in this state and one pic of a pic when he was well if it helps anyone :(

No I will not give anything away ;P The movie was great ;) I saw it in IMAX 3D. I was wondering how you would know when to put the glasses on. A little picture of the glasses showed up on the bottom of the screen in green when to put them on. It was an actual part of the movie, not something thrown in at the end like I heard before, that was 3D, quite a long part to. Then it shows red glasses in a red crossed out circle when to take them off. It is TOTALLY worth going to see in the IMAX. I look at it this way: When are you ever going to see this movie back at IMAX after it gone? Probably never. After the film was over we came out, a large group of girls my age started screaming because I was dressed up. I had my stuffed Scabbers with me. They took some pictures and asked if Scabbers was missing a toe. I told them "No, it Scabbers the Second ;)". Then when I got out to the main lobby a lady from Global was there waiting with a video camera and I got interviewed ;). She asked stuff like "How was the movie?, What part did you like the best?, How big of a fan are you? (I just looked at my costume), How do you compare this movie to the others? (Extremely well done, met my expectations, alot darker, I'd probably go see it 3-5 more times, and I wouldn't recommend it to little ones, one started crying near the end :( I felt sad for him), Would you say this movie is just for kids? (No, its for anyone, seniors anyone, it brings back that imaginary part of your childhood), Who is your favorite character? (thats where I froze, I couldn't remember Lupins name for the life of me, and it was on the tip of my tongue, finally I got it out ;P), Why do you like this character? (couldn't give much detail, I was still flushed from freezing, I wasn't planed ;P). So all and all I'll probably be on Global news tonight ;P at 6:00 or so. If you have an IMAX near you I strongly suggest going to see it ;)

Arthur and the Invisibles :P
May. 31st, 2007 | 01:37 am
mood:
disappointed
My expectations have been shattered T_T I just watched Arther and the Invisibles. I was expecting something sooooo out of this world with the graphics and yes they were great.... but the dialog was utter c**p. It was so very rushed, I could not keep up. Before your mind could wrap around say a fight seen you were off in another direction then to a different battle some short monologs and completely uncompleted information thrown at you. It was babel after babel, all fast talk and nothing telling you the story in full. Soooo many gaps. Boy sees pic of girl, likes girl, mets girl, not get along then completly get along in all of maybe five minitues. Another quick example "There is a waterfall coming what do we do, tie sword to rope, dart it to tree, two climb up one still on rope, gets hit by log/stick, almost overwater fall, 'Aren't you some kind of hero?', runs up log/stick, grabs rope, climbs and we're off again. NOW that all happens in probably less than it took you to read that tid bit, probably only 15seconds. Vilian has maybe at most 15 min screen time (voiced by David Bowie). His hole monolog is blurted out to you in 2 mins. 2 mins of his background, his feelings, his plot, idea to keep princess etc, etc.. I'll leave it at that *sigh* it was just way too rushed, if I could slow it down, streched the dialog to make it a 3 hour movie it probably would have been better. Good story but could not follow and would not recomend anyone to buy it, maybe rent if interested but so not buy.

I feel old :(
May. 27th, 2007 | 01:07 am
Just a small update. I just went to change my address on my Shoppers optimum card and noticed something...... My Birthday they had listed was for the year 1963!!! ;; *sniff, sniff* feel so old. (sapose to be 1983)
Also short funny story. When I think I was in grade 4 I had put down the year 1883 for the year I was born, he, he, the teacher came up to me "Monica? are you sure you were born in 1883?" and I inocently said "Ya, why?" me thinking that, well, I'm in the 1990's now and I was born before 90, I think I thought I couldn't possiably have any 9's in my year. Then the teacher said "Well you know dear, that would make you over 100 years old." and then explained to me my error. So since grade 4 I am offically a Vampire (at least to my child brain I am ;P).

Kodai Djinns, VERY COOL TOY
May. 22nd, 2007 | 11:13 pm
http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=f irebox&action=product&pid=1264
There's the site. My cousin first showed me the toy about a year ago. She got them at Wal-Mart and they were only about a dollar something. NO BATTERIES REQUIRED to charge it up all you do is YO-YO. Its like one of those digi-pets but you raise them to battle and I believe they start as animals but battle as some what super heros. But they were so cool and I thought they were cheep and I would have bought them for others and wanted to surprise people with them but now months later I STILL haven't tracked them down. It was like they only existed for my cousin to buy :( Oh well, still thought I'd show people this cool YO-YO charged toy ;)

K, this happened about a month ago but here's something weird that happened at my work and shows customers will return anything.
This customer walks up and wants to return a half eatten moldy block of cheese. He said he just opened it last week and that it shouldn't have gone bad that fast. He did not have his reciept, and now our policy is no reciept no return, but he wanted to see the supervisor and so I called her out. He seemed like the kind that did not know really what he was talking about, I had to repeat myself many time. My supervisor was able to try to track down his reciept but after going back in the logs two months she couldn't find it. We finally convinced him we couldn't do anything and that he should write the cheese company, maybe they'd give him free stuff and a refund. So just being curious, my Super thought she would go back further to find out when he acctually purchaced said cheese. Come to find out.... He bought it in October, on sale with a 1.00 off coupon to boot. THAT WAS 4 MONTHS AGO OF CORESE THE CHEESE WILL GO BAD. CUSTOMERS!!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!
My grandmother told me one time an elderly lady ahead of her at the grocery store wanted to return a box of crackers (you know, the ones that come in 4 stacks in one box) because some of the bottom ones were broken, and here's the real kicker.... SHE ATE 3 STACKS AND IT WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FORTH ONE THAT SHE DESIDED TO RETURN IT. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR AGAIN!!
Sorry but as much as they say it, all of the good ones do NOT make up for the bad ones.
